
On April 8th, Southwest Airlines flight #WN568, operating between Las Vegas and Reno, experienced an emergency shortly after takeoff. The captain of the Boeing 737 (N200WN) lost consciousness after a HUD (Heads Up Display) device fell onto their head in the cockpit.
The captain suffered a mild concussion, and an emergency was declared for the return flight to Las Vegas. The captain reported dizziness and nausea, prompting the crew to request an ambulance for hospitalization. After the captain was transported to the hospital, the flight was completed with a replacement aircraft.
